Reflecting on Time Square 2024
AY Young’s *Music for Impact Concert* was the high-energy kickoff for Climate Week NYC, electrifying Times Square as thousands gathered to celebrate sustainability through music. Drawing an astounding 1.7 billion viewers globally, this historic performance was both a record-breaker and a milestone in AY’s journey to 1,000 battery-powered shows, with Times Square concert marking show number 957 on his #Roadto1000.

The event brought together influential partners—including the National Wildlife Federation, TED Countdown, Extreme Hangouts, and Tobacco-Free Portfolios—who joined AY and other leaders onstage to underscore the urgency of climate action. Special guest Anushka Sen performed the anthem for Goal 4 (Quality Education), adding to the concert’s power as AY shared previews of several *Project17* anthems, which align each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals with new music.

The most memorable highlight of the night was AY’s announcement: he will officially break the Guinness World Record on Earth Day 2025 with his 1,000th concert.
